20 Massage Tips For (the rest of) 2020 #3

Your massage therapist has likely told you to drink water after your massage. But have you ever wondered why they tell you this? I actually have a very detailed explanation in my article "Why do Massage Therapists tell you to drink water after your massage?" but I'll sum up a shorter version here. Basically, the go-to answer by most therapists is that drinking water flushes out toxins released into the body during the massage, but this is only partly the answer. Basically, your body needs water for a lot of things beyond just quenching thirst. Water keeps everything in your system flowing smoothly and helping the good stuff get where it needs to go and helps the bad stuff get out, plus it is good for all of your organs which enhances the overall health benefits of the massage. So don't forget to drink that water after your massage.
