Massage Service Descriptions
Don't know what kind of massage you need? Here are more detailed descriptions of the services I offer. When you are ready, easily schedule your appointment here.
15 Minute Chair Massage

A simple massage focused on just the back, neck, and shoulders while seated in a specially designed chair. With no need to disrobe and maximum access to the most troubled areas, this massage is perfect for quick relaxation or unwinding knots or spasms while waiting for an appointment, on the way to or from lunch, or whenever there is no time for a more intense massage. This is also a good option if there is difficulty getting on and off the table. You can read more details about chair massage outside of the office here.
Massage Therapy

The “classic” massage designed for relaxation or recovering from an injury. Incorporating multiple styles of massage as needed, this massage includes arms, legs, neck, shoulders, and back plus some simple stretching. 30 minutes is ideal for focus on a specific area such as neck, shoulders, and back, 60-minutes is better for the whole body, while 90-minutes allows for more time on certain areas or just extra relaxation.
Prenatal Massage

Massage during pregnancy has benefits through every trimester. It may help with easier deliveries, a reduced chance of postpartum depression, and regain their bodies more quickly. In most cases, Prenatal Massage is perfectly safe and can help the mom-to-be with the aches and pains that come with pregnancy. With over 100 hours of training in this particular modality, it is Karen’s specialty. Massage technique and table cushioning is tailored to trimester and mom-to-be’s needs. You can read more details about prenatal massage here.
Postnatal Massage

Massage after delivery helps restore the body and give a new mom some much-needed quiet time. Very similar to a standard 60- or 30-minute massage, but with extra focus on 'nursing neck', some abdominal work, and whatever else is needed. Special pillows are used to make sure any still-sensitive body parts are comfortable.
Hot Stone Massage

The ultimate in relaxation and help for conditions from severely tight muscles to arthritis. In this ancient technique used by cultures around the world, basalt stones are heated in a hot water bath and the massage is performed with the stones themselves. The heated stones allow a deeper, more effective massage without a deeper pressure. You can read more about Hot Stone Massage here.
Sinus Care Session

This 30 minute session will focus on the head, neck, and face using a combination of relaxing massage, gentle facial cupping, lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy, warm and cold stone face massage, designed to help open and encourage drainage of the sinuses as well as decreasing inflammation, pain, and tightness in the face and head. It can be a stand-alone treatment, or combined with a regular massage.

Massage to help babies who are having tummy problems, muscle issues, fussiness and more. Parents will remain with the therapist during the massage. Massage and minor movement exercises are performed with baby's needs and tolerance. Appointments are scheduled in 15-minute increments, but time and pricing will be adjusted as needed. The first appointment is consists of some open discussion as well as some education and introduction to this unique massage therapy process. Subsequent visits continue to prepare the body and mind for the best chances for conception. More details about fertility massage can be found here.
Add-Ons
The following are not stand-alone services, but options that can be added to certain Massage Therapy Sessions.

Aromatherapy
Addition of an essential oil of your choice to the room and the lotion used during your massage. Please note that I only use pure Essential Oils, and all blends are done myself to ensure the quality of the products being used to ensure that the scents are beneficial and not harmful.

Hot Stone Spot Treatment
Similar to a hot stone massage but much simpler, focused solely on just one area of the body, the heated stones allow a deeper massage without added pressure on an area that needs a little more attention.

Hand Paraffin Dip
A hot wax treatment for your hands that helps ease sore tired hands, relax joints and muscles, and moisturizes skin.

Warm Stone Face Massage
A warm stone face massage is a soothing and relaxing treatment that uses gently heated basalt stones to relax facial muscles, increase blood circulation, and promote a sense of deep relaxation.

Foot Masque
A Facial for your feet! A foot scrub, masque and moisturizer to energize your sore, tired feet. (As much as it may be wanted, we do not recommend this treatment during pregnancy because the peppermint oil used in the masque and scrub is contraindicated for use during pregnancy)

Cold Stone Face Massage
A cold stone face massage involves the use of chilled marble stones which are gently placed on and massaged over the face to reduce puffiness, tighten pores, and improve circulation, while soothing and calming the skin, alleviating sinus pressure, and reducing inflammation.

3-Step Facial
Simple facial add-on to enhance your massage therapy relaxation. This is a basic cleanser-mud masque-face massage, nothing fancy just a nice treat.
