New
home
A native New Yorker and a mechanic by trade, Rob Gambaro
moved to Florida and worked as an auto mechanic until 1991
when he suffered a severe low back injury. After weeks of
traditional methods and meds, yet with absolutely no improvement,
Rob sought the advice of a chiropractor who introduced him
to spinal manipulations and therapeutic massage.
New
career
Soon Rob was back to auto mechanic work, but thinking of
a new career. Within six months he enrolled in The Humanities
Center School of Massage in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Graduating
in 1993 with certification in neuromuscular massage therapy
and myofascial release, Rob began specializing in cervical
strain/sprain injuries, headaches and low back pain. Because
of his personal experiences with therapeutic massage –
first, as a patient and then as a practitioner – Rob
thoroughly understands both perspectives of therapy.
New
techniques
In more than thirteen years of professional massage, Rob
has included many educational courses to further his understanding
and abilities. He has also received training in advanced
communication. Using this skill during therapeutic sessions,
Rob solicits needed feedback to customize each massage.
